Founded in Brooklyn, Luminosity Lab is led by creative Caleb Cain Marcus, whose projects include Museum of the City of New York’s inaugural triennial catalogue and Brown University’s Carrie Mae Weems: Varying Shades of Brown, hailed in Cent Magazine as, “a sculptural object—proving that books still push boundaries in a screen-dominated era.” Caleb received his MFA from Columbia University and has work in the collections of the Getty and Metropolitan Museum of Art.

With a distinct experience in book design and production, we find beauty arises from a response to the content that is led by strong ideas, typography, and attention to the book as a sculptural object.

We focus on ongoing partnerships with museums, galleries, publishers, curators and artists. We believe design flourishes with collaboration and open and diverse thought and dialogue. We’re curious and inquisitive researchers of information from the poetic to typographic.
