We worked with Clamp Art and Mikael Owunna on Cosmologies which was published in conjunction with the Nigerian-American artist’s show at the gallery. His photographs attempt to revive traditional African knowledge systems (particularly ancient Egyptian and West African) and explore their liberatory potential for contemporary Black queer communities. This catalogue provides context for how Owunna deploys a panorama of African cosmologies as a vehicle for Black transfiguration.

The design echoes the cosmos within the photographs through cover type which is printed with glitter and the black paper with text printed in silver metallic ink.
