We collaborated with Patricia Christakos to create an intimate book that feels like a private journal — our design combines an adult’s perspective with a child’s spontaneity. Christakos explores the ritualistic gathering of sleepovers and their universal themes of motherhood, spirituality, and feminine identity. 

The type is modeled after childhood journal entries with doodles which relate to the text conveying information through visual placement, scale, and color in addition to the meaning the words carry.

The book was launched with Christakos' video projection and installation at The Southeast Museum of Photography in Florida.
