First Stop Last Stop is a distillation of 8,000 photographs, 665 miles of New York City subway track and Rita Nannini’s determination to photograph the first stop and last stop of every single subway line in all five boroughs of New York City.

The book when open has the same proportions as a New York City Subway car and the edge of the book contains a visual mapping system of each line by their color so the reader can turn to the desired line without flipping through the book.
